We have been back at school for about 2 1/2 weeks, and it has been so crazy, I haven’t had time to add a new post until now!
I managed to read about 15 books this summer – and that was quite a feat with a 2 year old! Here are a couple of my favorites:
I Am the Mission by Allen Zadoff. This is the second in a series (the first is I Am the Weapon). It reminds me of The Jason Bourne series – an assassin who goes in and kills and then moves on to another mission. The assassin in the book is a teen boy who is assigned to kill a man who runs a camp to teach teens how to subvert the government. During his mission, he has to go into the camp and he learns that The Program (who are the people who give him his missions) is not what he thought it was.
Dancing Through It by Jenifer Ringer. This is Jenifer’s story of her life as a professional ballet dancer for the New York City Ballet. She talks about her early ballet school and her rise to the top of the ballet world. She also talks about her eating disorders while dancing, and gives us an inside look into a life only a select few get to live.
I hope you were able to get some reading done this summer! We have lots of new books in the library, so come check out what’s new!
