Books have been part of my life since I was tiny.  The first book I remember reading by myself was Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter.  I took books everywhere, and still do – in the car, on vacation, to the doctor’s office, relative’s houses, you name it.  I always want something to read.

I can’t live without books because they let me escape and go somewhere away from what I have to do.  They let me connect with my son when I read to him.  They let me connect to my friends when we meet for book club.  They let me learn about people and places and perspectives I wouldn’t otherwise get to learn about.  And I never have to have a charger or a new battery when I want to read a book.

Here is why some others can’t live without books; why can’t you live without them?  Leave a comment below to tell me!

Happy Reading!
