Spring break is finally here!  I was starting to feel like it would never get here.  And, as always, I have piles of books to read.  I bet I won’t get as many read as I would like, but I never stop adding to the tower beside my bed.  I have 3 started I will continue…

I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson.  this is the Printz award winner this year, and it is great so far!  The writing is amazing, and the characters draw you in.  The story is about twins, a brother and sister, and their struggles to figure out who they are together and apart.

Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel.  This is one of my favorite time periods to read about – King Henry VIII and his adventures.  This book is told from the perspective of Thomas Cromwell, one of Henry’s clergy.   Such an intriguing time.

Severed: A History of Heads Lost and Found by Frances Larson.  This book is about different aspects of heads – shrunken heads, decapitated heads, trophy heads…interesting history.  A little creepy, yes, but still interesting.

I probably won’t even get those done, but I will attempt it!  Here is a list of 11 of the best children’s books, according to the BBC.  Some good ones on the list!

I hope you find some time to read over break.  Happy Reading!
