November is well under way, and so is NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month. This is the month that brings national attention to writing, and there is lots of help, inspiration, and support out there if you want to write a novel!
The NaNoWriMo site is full of great support – you can sign up for a free account that will help you keep track of your goals and give you inspiration. The goal of the month is to write a novel of 50,000 words! Get crackin’!
You can search on youtube for videos an all sorts of writing-related topics, such as coming up with a title for your novel, where to get ideas, and more. Search ideas: “writing tips for young adults” or “YA Ink.”
We have a lot of our writing books out on display in the library right now, so come by to get one! We have books for ideas, books for grammar, books about writing screenplays, and more!
So go out and write that novel you have always wanted to – or write a poem, or a letter, or a short story.
Happy Writing!
