The movie for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is out, and I probably won’t see it.  I read the book and liked it, and rarely does a movie live up to my expectations and imaginings, especially when I like the book.  Although, with Tim Burton at the helm, this one could be close.  He does some wonderfully creepy stuff, and this book fits that bill.  One of the things I like about the book so much is the photos that go with the story –  they are so creepy-cool, and I love trying to figure out if they are really real or fixed up or just tricky camera angles.  At any rate, I hope the other books of the series get returned to the library soon so I can read them!

Here is a post that shows how you can dress like the characters in the movie.  I don’t know that these clothes will help you levitate or be able to turn invisible, but still fun.  🙂
