Happy April! Lots going on this month to celebrate:
- April is National Poetry Month! We have lots of novels in verse (stories written in poems) available in the library, as well as lots of books of poetry. Come by to get one! And, find your favorite poem to share on April 27, Poem in Your Pocket Day.
- April is also School Library Month! Support your school library by attending events, checking out books, and sharing your love of reading! We have many events planned this month…watch for information, and check out this page with dates.
- And, we have Reading Without Walls. This is a challenge to broaden your reading horizons! The challenges are:
- Read a book about a character who doesn’t look or act like you.
- Read a book about a topic you don’t know much about.
- Read a book in a format you don’t usually read, such as a graphic novel or listen to an audio book.
- When you read your challenge book, post to social media using #ReadingWithoutWalls so everyone can see what you are doing!
So much fun reading to celebrate this month! Get to it! I already have my stack(s) of books to get to…it never ends.
Happy Reading!
